Wedding season is here, which means that things are about to get really busy for us here at Leah Barry Photography, and if your wedding’s coming up, then you probably feel the same way. Perfecting final details, taking care of last minute changes, and finalizing your seating charts are just a few of the things that will be occupying your mind, not to mention the fact that you’re committing to spend the rest of your life with another person. And aside from your fiance, who has been standing by your for the entire process? That’s right, your bridesmaids.

Whether you picked a lone maid of honor, or fifteen lucky ladies to be your support system on your wedding day, you picked these women for a reason. They said yes to you during one of the most important stages of your life, and they’ve endured a lot. Everything from your wedding color crisis to staying up late and hand labeling wedding invitations. They’ve celebrated, supported, and made you feel loved, and you have a chance to do the same thing for them. Show these women how special they are to you, and how glad you are to have them take part in your wedding day with you. Here are a few ways to make sure you show your ladies some love.

1. Bridesmaids Brunch

Your bridesmaids are going to be spending a lot of time together, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re all already friends. Sometime in the months leading up to your wedding, have all the girls get together for a weekend brunch. You might not be able splurge on paying for everyone’s meal, but you can at least cover the cost of a few pitchers of mimosas. The further in advance this happens, the easier it will be for them to work together to plan bridal showers and bachelorette parties.

2. One-on-One Time

As important as it is for you to get all your bridesmaids together, it’s just as important to spend time with each of your girls individually. No one wants to feel like the bridesmaid who was added to the mix out of obligation or convenience, and it’s your responsibility to make sure that doesn’t happen. Shopping dates, grabbing coffee, or even just taking a night to hang out just the two of you are all great ways to make sure you give each of your girls an adequate amount of attention.

3. “The Last Night” Sleepover

Getting married means things are going to change. While you’re about to embark on the most exciting journey of your life, things like regular girls’ nights and sleepovers aren’t going to be as common. Whether you reserve a fancy hotel or go back to someone’s house, have a “last night” sleepover after your rehearsal dinner for you and all your bridesmaids. This is also a great way to make sure that everyone is up and at the right place on time for the big day.

4. Day Of Outfits

Help your bridesmaids feel beautiful your entire wedding day by getting them something fun to wear while getting ready. Whether your style is monogrammed button-ups or silk robes, comfortable and cute outfits will help make getting ready even more fun. They also make for great getting ready pictures and help ensure that hair and makeup won’t get messed up when they change into their bridesmaids dresses later.

5. Wedding Day Accessories

Give your girls something to help them remember your big day and complete their outfit. Whether you choose earrings, a necklace or bracelet, getting your bridesmaids an accessory to wear on your wedding day is a very special way to say thank you for being a part of your day, and give them something they definitely can wear again.
