Vicki always knew that she wanted a classic, romantic wedding. A breathtaking gown, high ceilings, and an abundance of flowers was everything this bride could possibly want. Vicki got all that, and more, when she married Ben at the Cincinnati Art Museum in June, 2015.
Everything about Ben and Vicki seems like a total dream. They started their wedding day with portraits at their downtown apartment in Cincinnati. Having the city as the background while taking pictures on the roof made for some gorgeous, unique portraits that showcase the city as well as this beautiful couple.
The ceremony took place in the courtyard in the center of the museum. Vicki knew that she couldn’t pass up the beautiful location. “The Romanesque-style buildings surrounding the courtyard made the ceremony look very special, with a classic look.” The courtyard gave the ceremony the perfect garden-feeling. Shades of pink and silver candlesticks helped to create that romantic feeling.
After the ceremony, Ben and Vicki were able to take gorgeous pictures in different locations around the museum. Anyone who has an appreciation for the arts will be envious of these shots.
For the reception, everybody moved inside to the Great Hall. The stone floors and tall ceilings made this the perfect location for an elegant reception. The two grand staircases reminded Vicki of one of her all time favorite movies, Beauty and the Beast, and made her feel like she was living her own fairytale. The decorations were kept simple and sophisticated, with flowers in low vases for centerpieces.
With such a beautiful wedding, it would be hard to pick a favorite part of the day, but in Vicki’s words: “Our first dance was my favorite moment. We didn’t really practice until two days before the event, so I was very nervous. We just said we will enjoy it and see how it goes. And, surprisingly it went really well without any mistakes. Also, I can still remember the way Ben was looking at me, and little things we were telling each other during the dance.”
